We are pleased to announce Blue Ova’s Lead Acupuncturist Robin Sheared has become a fellow of the American Board of Oriental Reproductive Medicine (ABORM) after passing the specialty board examination in April. Earning this diplomat certification represents a significant professional achievement.
With a dedication to providing the best reproductive care possible, Sheared has gained further credentialing in the field by becoming an ABORM Fellow. ABORM is a non-profit devoted to teaching, research, and the practice of Oriental Medicine as it relates to reproductive disorders.
The ABORM certification distinguishes Sheared in the field of Western and Oriental Reproductive Medicine and includes an extremely rigorous exam. ABORM's course of study includes advanced competencies in both Western Medicine and Chinese Medical Reproductive Endocrinology, Gynecology, Obstetrics, Urology, Reproductive Medicine and Infertility. ABORM members are kept abreast of the utmost current research in the field of male and female fertility treatments and remain actively involved in clinical research.
The ABORM has been formed by leading professionals in Oriental Reproductive Medicine who have come together voluntarily with a resolve to meet the patient and physician demand for a demonstration of knowledge of care in this field. We have recognized the need for a certification to maintain that practitioners who are treating patients with Oriental Medicine in the field of Reproductive Health are doing so with an advanced knowledge and experience, and to allow practitioners to demonstrate their knowledge through the process of voluntary examination.
Blue Ova Health is dedicated to treating fertility and men’s and women’s reproductive health. The center provides a personalized preconception care program as well as support for Assisted Reproductive Therapies such as IVF and IUI.
